Belal Muhammad predicts Leon Edwards vs Sean Brady fight at UFC London (video)

Belal Muhammad, a prominent figure in the welterweight division, has confidently predicted the outcome of the highly anticipated fight between Leon Edwards and Sean Brady at UFC London. Muhammad, who has a history with both fighters, did not hold back in expressing his thoughts on Edwards’ recent comments regarding his title loss at UFC 304, where the champion claimed injuries and the unusual fight time of 5:00 a.m. played significant roles in his defeat.

In a recent interview, Muhammad criticized Edwards for what he described as a series of excuses. “This guy is full of excuses,” Muhammad stated, asserting that such a mentality would lead to Brady’s victory. He went on to predict that once Brady secures a takedown or two, he will likely find a submission due to what he perceives as Edwards’ mental weaknesses. “He’ll have flashbacks from what I did to him,” Muhammad added, recalling his previous victory over Edwards, which he claims was achieved with relative ease.

Edwards, responding to Muhammad’s remarks, dismissed his rival’s confidence, suggesting that Muhammad’s fighting style is predominantly based on wrestling rather than striking. “He talks like he’s Mike Tyson, but when he fights, he’s not,” Edwards remarked, downplaying the significance of their prior encounter and emphasizing that Muhammad’s approach lacked damaging impact. Edwards remained focused on his upcoming fight, eager to demonstrate his capabilities against Brady.

Meanwhile, the welterweight division continues to see movement as former champion Aljamain Sterling has responded to calls for a rematch with Marlon Vera. Sterling announced that he has accepted an offer from the UFC for a rematch and is optimistic that Vera will also agree to the fight. He implied that this time, the bout will be shorter, stating, “I don’t get paid by the hour.”

In other news from the MMA landscape, fighter Ali Elizadeh has announced a significant change as he prepares for his next bout. Known as “El Matador,” he revealed that he will be adopting a new nickname and identity when he steps into the octagon next. “El Matador has been my ally in every fight, but next time I’ll step into the octagon with a new identity. New Era,” Elizadeh stated, hinting at a fresh start in his fighting career.

As anticipation builds for UFC London, the spotlight remains on the Edwards vs. Brady fight, with Muhammad’s predictions adding an intriguing layer to an already compelling matchup. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see if Muhammad’s insights hold true when the fighters meet in the octagon on May 10th.
