Hunt, originally from Raleigh, had recently signed a record deal and was considered an emerging talent in the rap scene. Friends and family have expressed their deep sorrow at his untimely death, emphasizing his loyalty and generosity. According to sources, Hunt was visiting Memphis for a brief appearance when he was attacked. During the shooting, he was shot multiple times, while a well-known Houston rapper, Albert Walker Mondan—better known as S Walk—was shot once in the leg but survived.

Memphis police have stated that they have identified the vehicle used in the getaway but have not yet released information about the suspects involved in the shooting. In response to rampant speculation surrounding the circumstances of her son’s death, Hunt’s mother took to social media to address rumors, particularly those suggesting that he was involved in a dispute over money. She vehemently denied these claims, asserting that her son was never a thief and was too loyal to the wrong people. “My son never stole anything. He would give you his last before he would steal,” she stated, urging the public to stop spreading false narratives.

The shooting has sparked discussions about the pressures and dangers faced by rising artists in the music industry. S Walk, who survived the attack, has also spoken out, sharing his disbelief at the incident and expressing gratitude for his own survival. He noted the surreal nature of the shooting and how he has been dodging bullets since his teenage years.

Both Hunt’s tragic death and S Walk’s survival highlight the precarious nature of fame in the hip-hop community, particularly in cities where street credibility and gang affiliations can lead to violent confrontations.
