Yella Beezy Bond Reduced For Lack Of Evidence State Reveled Someone Else Also Paid Kewon To Kill Mo3 (video)

Local rapper Yella Beezy, whose real name is Maris Conway, had his bond significantly reduced during a recent court hearing, dropping from $2 million to $750,000. The bond reduction comes as the state revealed a lack of substantial evidence against him in the ongoing capital murder case involving the death of rival rapper Melvin Noble, known as Mo3.

Yella Beezy was indicted on charges of capital murder with remuneration, which alleges he paid for the killing of Mo3, who was shot and killed on November 11, 2020, in Dallas. The incident left 44 bullet casings scattered along Interstate 35, highlighting the violent nature of the crime. Federal inmate Kewon White, who is also implicated in the case, has reportedly been identified as the shooter.

During the bond hearing, Yella Beezy’s attorney argued that he could not afford the original bond amount, which required a $200,000 payment as a percentage. The attorney presented evidence that Yella Beezy has around $800,000 in his bank account, suggesting that a lower bond would be more appropriate given the current evidence.

The prosecution’s case relies heavily on a single witness who claims to have been present during discussions regarding the payment for Mo3’s murder. This witness is expected to testify that Kewon White received $40,000 for the hit. However, critics have pointed out that the prosecution’s evidence appears thin, consisting mainly of witness accounts rather than concrete proof linking Yella Beezy directly to the crime.

The judge ultimately decided to reduce the bond to $750,000, acknowledging the lack of compelling evidence while also recognizing the severity of the charges. The court emphasized that Yella Beezy would need to adhere to strict conditions, including avoiding any contact with witnesses or co-defendants.

As the case unfolds, the implications for both Yella Beezy and the Dallas rap scene remain significant. The decision to lower the bond raises questions about the strength of the prosecution’s case and whether Yella Beezy will ultimately be able to mount a successful defense. Observers in the community are keenly watching how this high-profile case will develop in the coming weeks.
