Chilling Last Words: Mom's Terrifying Threat to Ex Before Tragically 𝒦𝒾𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 Her Two Young Children

A North Dakota mother is accused of stabbing two of her young children to death.

According to a new affidavit, she ghoulishly told their father, β€œSay goodbye to your kids,” in a blood-chilling video shot moments before the slaughter.

Kailey Erhart, 22, is facing a slew of charges.

These include two counts of murder, attempted murder, two counts of terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, three counts of aggravated assault, and a misdemeanor count of domestic violence.

The charges follow the horrifying Aug. 6 incident at a home in Mandan.

Cops said she waved a gun at her estranged husband, Cameron.

She threatened to 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 herself.

Then she fatally stabbed their 5-month-old and 3-year-old children.

She also savagely attacked their 1-year-old.

That child miraculously survived, cops said.

Newly released video uncovered by investigators shows Erhart holding one of the children during the frantic scene.

She is brandishing a pistol at her hip.

She tells the father, β€œSay goodbye to your kids.”

Cops responded to the home after receiving a report that a mother had stabbed her children.

They found a crime scene so bloody that even veteran cops were traumatized by the sight of it, according to a Mandan Police affidavit.

When officers arrived, Erhart was soaked with blood.

She was holding a kitchen knife to her throat.

She dropped the knife to the floor.

She told officers to 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 her, court documents detail.

After taking her into custody, police followed a trail of blood through the home to a bedroom.

In that bedroom, they found three young children lying motionless on a bed.

They had knife wounds to their necks.

The 5-month-old and 3-year-old were pronounced dead at local hospitals.

The 1-month-old miraculously survived.

Moments before police arrived at the scene, Erhart had chased the children’s father and grandmother out of the house with a knife.

The father later told investigators that moments before they were locked out, he wrestled a pistol away from his crazed ex.

He managed to disassemble it and scatter the pieces throughout the house, the affidavit said.

After she was placed under arrest, Erhart told investigators she believed their throats had been cut before she placed them on the bed.

She recalled having the knife in her hands when cops arrived at the home.

But she claimed she didn’t remember anything else.

The affidavit also detailed that the couple was separating.

The father had previously reported to the state’s mental health services that Erhart had threatened to harm both him and the children.

After Child Protective Services got involved, Erhart was committed to a mental health facility for an unknown period of time within the last 12 to 18 months.

She was placed on medication.

She was cleared to be around the children at the time of the incident, according to the affidavit.

Erhart made her first appearance before a judge at the Morton County Courthouse on Friday.

Bond was set at $3 million cash.

The high amount was due to the β€œextreme violence in these alleged charges and the threat to the community, victims and children,” said District Judge Marina Spahr.

She has not yet entered a plea.

She will be back in court on Oct. 6.

A GoFundMe page is raising money for funeral costs for the slain children, as well as medical bills for the 1-year-old.

As of Monday morning, it had raised nearly $27,000 out of a $30,000 goal.
