I’m plus-size – trolls say baggy fits aren’t flattering on me but I don’t care

A plus-size fashion blogger has revealed how she rocks baggy fits – in spite of trolls telling her it only makes her look bigger.

Averi Camille, from LA, proved critics who think curvy women can’t wear large or oversized outfits wrong in a video shared on TikTok where she styled different looks.

She titled the video ‘Curvy girls can’t wear baggy fits’, after receiving comments disparaging her style.
In the clip, she could be seen wearing both loose shirts and baggy trousers and a jacket to make her point.

While some told her the cut wasn’t flattering on her plus-size frame, others loved her sartorial efforts and said they wished they looked like her.

In the video, Averi tried on several styles to show that she could look good in baggy clothes in spite of what trolls thoughts.

For one of the outfits, she donned a loose graphic cropped shirt with a high-waisted loose pair of cargo pants.

Another fit consisted of a loose black leather jacket, a large tee and faux leather trousers.

Averi tried several other looks, including one with a loose plaid shirt with a pair of blue jeans, and another with a form-fitting top and a pair of high-waisted jeans.

Her video, which gathered more than 658,000 views, was met with hundreds of positive comments from people who said they wished they rocked the same style.

‘Can someone say it louder because boy they look so good. You guys just have the curves for it. I wear baggy clothes and I look like a stick or a man,’ one said.

‘I wish I looked like you,’ another said.

‘Finally!!!! Found my people!!! This I’ve been looking for this. You’re that girl,’ one gushed.

But some people said that the large clothes were not flattering on Averi, because of her frame.

‘I mean… You can by most overweight people look even bigger in them. They’re not flattering,’ one said.

And some other plus size women said they loved the look on Averi, but were not confident that they’d also look good in the look.

‘I be looking like a bag of potatoes if I’m not actively posing, but this is so cute,’ one wrote.

‘I feel so frumpy when I do this,’ another one said.
