Eminem’s US Grand Prix performance took a surprising and heart-warming turn as 100,000 fans joined Skylar Grey and Mr. Porter in singing “Happy Birthday” to Marshall.
During his Austin concert, Eminem got an unforgettable birthday surprise from a crowd of 100,000 fans. Skylar Grey, determined to give him a memorable moment, took the lead in organising the impromptu birthday tribute. “Before I leave, I need to embarrass you like you did to me once”, Skylar teased as Mr. Porter pulled Em to centre stage.
A massive “Happy Birthday” sing-along followed, with The Alchemist directing the record-breaking crowd from his high-rise DJ deck. Despite the playful ribbing, Eminem took it in stride. “This isn’t embarrassing at all”, he joked, adding with a menacing threat, “It’s fine, I’ll get you back”.
Interestingly, while Marshall may have been on the receiving end this time, he is no stranger to celebrating his friends’ birthdays on stage. Fans might remember how The Alchemist got shout-outs during Em’s Abu Dhabi show back in 2019, proving that Em is always down to celebrate his crew. This time, it was his turn to feel the love from both his fans and his friends.
The night was filled with electrifying moments, but the birthday surprise was one that Eminem — and the crowd — won’t soon forget.
