Style Swoon: From a clean beauty forum to a VIP beach party and an Outer Banks-inspired collection drop, this week’s hottest happenings are getting us ready for a great summer

When it comes to style, we are all inspired by what we see; whether it be a well-dressed celebrity, a blow-your-mind catwalk presentation or even a fashionable passerby.

As fashion editors, we’re moved by all of the above, and then some. We’re exposed to under-the-radar labels; we get a first-hand look at collections months before they hit stores; we attend VIP events; we’re tapped into brands with chic-yet-cheap offerings and we shop — a lot.

To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest, greatest and on the verge. We hope this Friday series will serve as a buying guide and point of inspiration for all.
Star-studded clean beauty forum

On March 2nd, Beautycounter, the pioneer of the clean beauty movement, celebrated a decade’s worth of accomplishments by hosting an industry forum discussing what’s next in clean beauty.

The event was held at NeueHouse Hollywood and hosted by Ashley Greene.
Notable attendees, included Jeannie Mai, Candice King, Kara Del Toro, Helen Owen, Gizele Oliveira, and Quigley Goode were there to show their support.

‘Clean beauty is important to me because what you put on your skin can directly affect your health,’ said Ashley Greene.

‘Unfortunately, health and beauty standards have traditionally been incredibly low, and you really have to advocate for your own health and wellness.

‘That’s why I’ve been such a huge Beautycounter fan- they truly care about the consumer and the planet and have created such powerful change already as a company.’

The actress – whose fave Beautycounter product is the Overnight Resurfacing Peel – looked professional in a lightweight tan suit with a black underpinning.

‘I only have one face and it’s nice to know I can have fun with experimental makeup while also treating my skin and healthfully as possible,’ said The Vampire Diaries actress Candice King
The Real’s Jeannie Mai added: ‘Clean beauty is the most responsible step you can take in your selfcare regimen. Whatever you are putting on your skin is seeping into your pores and affecting your health and well-being, too’
