Kay Flock was the face of Bronx drill music, the leader of DOA/Sethside, and he was on top of the world. Then it all came crashing down. His own homies flipped on him, his ops testified against him, and now he’s looking at decades behind bars. In 2021, Kay Flock walked into a situation that would end his freedom.
An OI affiliate named Waka spotted him and walked out of a barber shop to press him. The confrontation was caught on camera. According to reports at first, Kay Flock had walked in and shot Waka unprovoked, but the video proved otherwise. Waka had sparked the beef.
Flock’s fans thought he might actually beat the murder charge. He’d only been locked up for a few months. He could have come home, kept his momentum, and stayed on top of the rap game. But the cops weren’t done with him.
Right when it looked like he might skate, the feds hit him and his crew with a RICO case. That changed everything. The feds said Kay Flock had been calling the shots for Sethside/DOA for years. They claimed he was sending out hits, sliding on opps, and tearing up the Bronx.
He already had a record—a robbery charge at 15, a gun charge in 2020, another gun charge in November 2021 that didn’t stick. A month after that, he killed Waka. The murder made headlines, but the feds wanted him for much more. What hurt his case the most, though, was when the people closest to him started flipping.
You expect opps to snitch. What you don’t expect is your own homie turning on you. Before Kay Flock got locked up, a dude from his own block named Vance Brockington got shot by the ops. Vance was laid up in the hospital, barely alive.
Kay Flock went sliding for the get-back and shot a man in the face. Vance survived. And when the NYPD caught him selling crack in 2022, he was facing 20 years. So he made a deal.
He flipped on Kay Flock. Vance told the court that after Kay Flock shot the op in the face, he called him and said, “I got you, bro. ” But here’s where it gets crazy—Vance’s own sister testified against him. She said Vance was in the hospital with both hands bandaged and tubes in his mouth.
He barely looked alive. There was no way he could have taken that phone call. Vance also claimed Kay Flock was the one who sparked the beef with the O’s in the first place. He said Kay Flock wanted all the smoke and was dissing them on tracks.
Vance wasn’t the only one who flipped. The prosecutors brought in a dude named Blitz from the YG’s—one of Kay Flock’s biggest opps. Snitching on your ops during trial is already wild, but here’s the part that made everyone’s jaw drop: Blitz is the guy who killed Kay Flock’s homie Nazzy. Nazzy was one of the biggest losses for Sethside/DOA.
He’d been catching gun charges since he was 12 and had been arrested 18 times before he died. He was ruthless—he even cut someone up with a machete. But in September 2021, Blitz and another shooter caught him lacking and left him dead in the street. Kay Flock and Nazzy were tight.
The ops dissed Nazzy as soon as he was killed. Blitz pleaded guilty to the murder and got 18 years. But he was angling for a 5K1 motion—basically, a reduced sentence if he helped the feds with another case. That’s why he took the stand against Kay Flock.
Seven other dudes from Sethside and Thirdside were booked on the RICO case. The feds linked them to at least seven shootings. Kay Flock and two of his homies supposedly shot an op in 2020. Then, a month before he killed Waka, he slid on RPT with two other DOA affiliates, and one of them started shooting out of the sunroof.
BJ Bala was with Kay Flock on that crash-out. He was facing federal attempted murder charges and could have gone down for life. Instead, he pleaded guilty and took a 13-year sentence in 2025. Kay Flock hired Jeffrey Lynchman, a famous lawyer who had worked with El Chapo, to defend him.
Fans thought it was a huge win. But when the RICO case hit, everything went sideways. Kay Flock decided to take it to trial. The feds had everything: phone records, receipts for the Amiri jeans he was wearing when he killed Waka, video of the RPT slide, even his own lyrics.
After Kay Flock shot the YG’s member in the face, the feds said he rapped about it on a track: “Hole in his face. That boy look like a dolphin. ”
The feds wanted to prove Kay Flock was the mastermind behind DOA’s war with the O’s. They brought in a witness who said Kay Flock was out in opp territory hunting for them on the day he killed Waka.
Waka’s brother Jerel testified that he was with Waka in the barber shop when Kay Flock walked by. Waka walked outside and asked who he was, but never threatened him. That’s not what Shaunie Bonnie said. Shaunie was a female drill rapper who was with Kay Flock that day.
A lot of people thought she was YG, but she denied it in a freestyle. She testified that Waka said he was going to shoot them when he stepped out of the barber shop. She claimed that after Kay Flock shot Waka, a gun fell out of Waka’s coat. The prosecutor said she was lying, and now she’s facing charges for making false statements.
She might spend years in prison just for trying to help Kay Flock. Kay Flock was facing mandatory life if he got convicted of murder. But the jury came back and said not guilty on the federal murder charge. It was a huge win—the judge wouldn’t have to give him life.
But he still got convicted on racketeering, gun charges, and violent crimes. His homies celebrated the murder acquittal. Then Kay Flock made a move that had everyone shaking their heads. Right after the verdict, he hopped on Instagram and said he made the judge cry.
He was talking like he beat the whole case. And at the end of the post, he wrote: “Kill all rats. ”
Talking about killing rats before you’ve even been sentenced is insane. Even his own fans knew he was done for saying it.
The prosecutors could use that post to prove he was threatening witnesses and tack on more time. Rumors started swirling that Kay Flock had been crashing out in jail, fighting everyone, maybe even stabbing someone. Nothing was confirmed, but he’d already made his situation worse. Kay Flock was the face of DOA, but he wasn’t the only one who destroyed his career.
Douggee B was locked up when Kay Flock started popping off. When he came home, he blew up fast. He was running up huge numbers and even getting shot in the leg didn’t slow him down. But after Kay Flock got booked, Douggee B started falling off.
He disappeared from the drill scene. Rumors said he was hooked on drugs. He posted a photo on his Instagram story holding a bunch of pills with the caption, “I love you so much. ” He’d been open about his depression, saying he’d been popping percs ever since his dad died.
Then a crew called the Sweepers started dissing DOA. Douggee B came back for a second, clapping back on tracks and clowing dead Sweepers affiliates like Gpop, who got stabbed to death in front of a pizza shop. Then he fell off again. A fan took a photo with Douggee B while flashing cash.
After the picture, Douggee B robbed him and ran off with the money. He got clowned for robbing his own fan. But that wasn’t what put him in real danger. In 2024, news broke that Douggee B robbed a dude inside his own crib.
He and his homies broke into the apartment, held the man at gunpoint, and took $2,500 from his accounts while the victim’s kid watched. About a week later, he robbed another dude in the same building at knifepoint. Douggee B was facing 25 years. Nazi BK was in even deeper trouble.
He wasn’t always DOA. He used to just sell weed and mess around with dudes who rep the OG’s. Then some of his own homies from the OG’s set set him up and robbed him. So he linked with DOA and started repping them hard on tracks.
People thought he was just a basketball player talking crazy. Then he shocked everyone by getting booked for a murder in the middle of Times Square—on camera. He had momentum, big hits, YouTube pranks, a real following. Then he threw it all away.
CB Blue was supposed to be the second biggest rapper in the crew behind Kay Flock. He popped off with Set the Trend on “No Ozone” and ran up millions of views. He had buzz after allegedly shooting a cop and beating the case. But he fumbled it all.
DOA had internal problems on top of dealing with the police and their ops. It started when Be Love and Set the Trend had beef. Be Love was from OG’s territory but grew up around DOA and was tight with Kay Flock. He dissed Set the Trend on a track, and CB Blue kept rocking with Be Love.
They went back and forth on social media. Set the Trend allegedly smashed up CB Blue’s whip. Then Kay Flock and Douggee B dropped “Brother Love,” and Set the Trend came back with “Brotherly Hate,” dissing both Be Love and CB Blue. Nobody knew why Set the Trend was so mad at CB Blue for just rocking with Be Love.
But things took a dark turn when a DOA affiliate named CI was shot and killed in 2022. A couple of years later, an OG’s affiliate named PJ Gizzy was booked for the murder. Some people believed Be Love knew CI was going to get killed because he was still connected to the OG’s. That might be why Set the Trend was so pressed about the whole situation.
CB Blue moved to Texas to get away from the drama. His fans were happy he made it out. But he didn’t stay gone long. In 2025, he allegedly got booked on crack charges.
Then he got exposed for being broke and not paying for features he’d promised. His music fell off. He wasn’t even touching 100K views on YouTube anymore. Set the Trend fell off too, especially after paperwork surfaced accusing him of snitching.
He said it was fake, but people stopped rocking with him anyway. DOA has members locked up all over right now. An OG from Sethside named Sticky B just caught eight more years while he was already inside. He was booked on fraud charges and should have been coming home in 2026.
Instead of keeping his head down, he stabbed somebody in jail. He’s been on the block since the 2000s, still in his 30s, never made it out of the trenches. Sticky B had been around Sethside before DOA was even a crew. Back then, the biggest crew was the YBS, but a lot of them got locked up in the 2010s, and the set fell apart.
Some DOA affiliates still rep YBS, but most real fans don’t even know about the original movement. And it’s looking like the exact same thing is happening to DOA right now.
