Dave Blunts Calls In and Explains Crashing Out on Snoop Dogg

In a recent interview, rising hip-hop artist Dave Blunts opened up about a controversial moment involving legendary rapper Snoop Dogg that has sparked considerable discussion online. The incident occurred during Juice WRLD Day, where Blunts performed while reportedly using an oxygen tank due to health concerns. Snoop Dogg, taking to social media, called out Blunts for what he perceived as an unhealthy lifestyle, urging him to “put down the cup,” a reference to the drink Blunts often carries, which some speculate contains lean, a mixture of codeine and soda.

During the interview, Blunts clarified that his cup is typically filled with soda and not lean, asserting that he does not partake in the substance. He noted, “It’s an empty cup all the time,” emphasizing that he has never been seen with anything harmful in it. Despite this, he acknowledged that his health has been a topic of conversation, revealing he had been hospitalized shortly before the Juice WRLD performance.

Blunts expressed his frustration over Snoop’s comments, interpreting them as detrimental rather than supportive. He stated, “I didn’t do nothing to nobody… I’m just chasing my dream.” His response to Snoop’s remarks included a jab referencing Snoop’s past role as a character with questionable morals, highlighting the double standard he feels exists in the criticism he faces compared to other artists.

The conversation took a lighter turn as Blunts shared the pressures of performing in front of a large audience while dealing with his health issues. He candidly admitted to consuming a bottle of Jameson whiskey before taking the stage, a decision he made to alleviate his nervousness. “Mixing Jameson and oxygen is crazy,” he joked, reflecting the tension he felt leading up to his performance.

Despite the backlash, Blunts remains determined to pursue his career and maintain his authenticity. He emphasized that he is not trying to be a symbol of body positivity; rather, he is focused on living his life and making music. The artist reassured fans that he is working on his health behind the scenes, stating, “I’m just living life.”

The interaction between Blunts and Snoop Dogg highlights the complexities of celebrity culture, particularly the scrutiny artists face regarding their lifestyles. As discussions surrounding health and wellness continue in the entertainment industry, Blunts’ candidness about his struggles and triumphs resonates with many fans who appreciate his authenticity and humor amid controversy.

As Dave Blunts navigates his career and personal challenges, his story serves as a reminder of the pressures that come with fame and the importance of addressing health concerns, both physically and mentally. The support and concern from fellow artists and fans alike may play a crucial role in his journey forward.
