Taylor Swift shows love for her best friend Selena Gomez’s new album “I Said I Love You First” (video)

In a heartwarming display of friendship, Taylor Swift recently ended her long social media hiatus to celebrate the release of Selena Gomez’s new album, “I Said I Love You First.” On March 22, Swift took to her Instagram stories to express her admiration for the collaborative project from Gomez and her fiancĂ©, Benny Blanco. The pop superstar shared a snapshot of the album on Spotify, accompanied by the enthusiastic message, “I love this album so much.”

The album, which debuted on March 21, features 14 tracks, including the poignant piano ballad “Younger and Hotter Than Me.” Swift’s post marks her return to social media after an 80-day break, during which she largely avoided the spotlight. Her last Instagram activity came on December 12, following the conclusion of her record-breaking “Eras Tour.”

Reports suggest that Swift’s absence from social media was due, in part, to her connection with friend Blake Lively, who is currently involved in a legal matter with actor-director Justin Baldoni. However, her recent post about Gomez indicates that she is ready to re-engage with her followers.

In a recent appearance with Blanco on Spotify’s “Countdown,” Gomez shared a humorous anecdote about an awkward moment at one of Swift’s exclusive afterparties. The couple arrived early, leading Gomez to jokingly note that “cool people don’t show up to parties on time.” Blanco added that at the time, they were keeping their relationship under wraps, as no one knew they were dating.

Blanco has since become a fan of Swift’s music, dubbing himself a “true Swifty.” He praised Swift’s timeless appeal and admitted to regularly listening to her earlier tracks during car rides. The camaraderie between Gomez and Swift has been evident since their friendship began in 2008, and they consistently support each other in public. When Gomez announced her engagement in December, Swift was quick to respond with a playful comment on Instagram, declaring, “Yes, I will be the flower girl.”

As both artists continue to thrive in the music industry, their bond remains a testament to the power of friendship amidst the pressures of fame. With Gomez’s new album gaining traction and Swift’s return to social media, fans are eager to witness more of their shared moments and mutual support in the future.
