Eminem Reacts To His Stalker Receiving 30 Years In Prison ‘Finally Eminem Is In Peace’ (video)

Eminem’s long-standing stalker, Matthew Hughes, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after being convicted of a second home invasion. The 32-year-old Hughes was sentenced to a range of 15 to 30 years for first-degree home invasion, in addition to an extra 3 to 7.5 years for aggravated stalking. These sentences will run consecutively, marking a significant legal victory for the rapper.

The conviction came after a jury trial last month, where Eminem himself provided testimony regarding the unsettling incidents involving Hughes. This is not the first time Hughes has targeted the iconic rapper. In a frightening incident in 2020, Eminem woke to find Hughes standing behind him in his own home. When confronted, Hughes shockingly stated that he was there to kill the rapper.

Previously, Hughes had reached a plea deal that resulted in five years of probation. However, he was arrested again for simple assault, which led to a longer sentence. Following this latest conviction, authorities have implemented a permanent restraining order against Hughes, prohibiting him from contacting Eminem or coming within 500 feet of his residence or workplace.

The legal outcome is seen as a crucial step in ensuring that Eminem and his family can finally experience peace of mind after enduring years of harassment. As Eminem continues to navigate his career and personal life, this sentencing offers a renewed sense of security for the artist, who has faced significant threats from Hughes in the past.
