“U Will Pay Me A Lot” North Carolina Rapper PUTS Cardi B On Blast For Stealing Her Song “OUTSIDE” (video)

North Carolina rapper Marissa Rain has recently called out Cardi B for allegedly stealing her song titled “OUTSIDE.” In a social media post, Rain expressed her admiration for Cardi but emphasized that the similarities between their tracks were too striking to ignore. According to Rain, she created her version of the song three to four years ago, driven by the desire to fulfill her contract obligations, even if it didn’t align with her artistic style.

The controversy erupted when Rain shared a snippet of her track on social media, which bore a close resemblance to Cardi’s song, both in beat and lyrical flow. Rain explained that her manager had encouraged her to produce more feminine music, diverging from her usual aggressive style. Although she initially released her song on YouTube without significant promotion, she firmly believes that someone on Cardi’s team must have heard it and used the concept for Cardi’s own version.

Rain stated, “I really do feel like you just took it and perfected it… the coincidence for you to say ‘outside’ and the beat sound the same to me, that’s just too close.” She suggested that if Cardi or her team had taken inspiration from her work, they should have reached out to her before proceeding.

The issue of originality in the music industry has long been contentious, with many artists facing accusations of borrowing too heavily from others. This incident raises questions about the fine line between inspiration and imitation, particularly in a genre that often celebrates remix culture.

As the conversation unfolds, fans and industry insiders are left to ponder the implications of this dispute. Rain’s callout not only highlights the challenges faced by emerging artists in gaining recognition but also underscores the importance of acknowledging source material in a collaborative creative environment. As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how Cardi B will respond to these allegations and whether any dialogue will emerge between the two artists.
