A troubling scandal involving former substitute teacher Britney Foronberry has escalated dramatically, with the number of criminal charges against her now totaling 47 following the emergence of new allegations. Foronberry, who worked in the Metropolitan School District of Martinsville, Indiana, held her position from October 2023 until her resignation in January 2024. Despite her resignation, the district stated that it was not related to any allegations of sexual misconduct at that time. She later joined the Eminence School District in July 2024 but resigned shortly thereafter amid accusations of exchanging explicit messages with a student.

One 13-year-old victim reported constant texting and threats of self-harm if he ceased communication, while another alleged that Foronberry provided him with alcohol and drugs, coercing him into sexual acts in her garage. In May 2025, another victim came forward, detailing how Foronberry had invited him to her home, offered him drugs, and coerced him into sexual activity while her children were nearby. This increased her total charges to 41, with authorities identifying at least nine victims by that time.
Now, as of September 2025, the number of charges has grown to 47 following the testimony of a tenth victim. This latest accuser described how Foronberry’s advances escalated quickly after a seemingly innocent encounter, ultimately leading to explicit sexual encounters that were facilitated under the influence of drugs she had provided.
