A lavish beachfront home in Victoria once considered as a possible home for Hugh Jackman and his family is on the market and set to break property records.

The stunning mansion, in Frankston South, has a price guide between $15.5 to $17million, the Herald Sun reported on Wednesday.

According to the publication, the stepfather of Deborra-Lee Furness – Hugh’s wife – inquired about the property on behalf of the Jackmans last year.

The kitchen is kitted out with top of the range appliances, sleek cabinetry, a 250-bottle wine cellar and a breakfast bench.

In the next room is the formal living and dining room, which feature high ceilings and tall windows that all plenty of natural light in, and provide views picturesque views out to the garden and of Port Phillip Bay.

The property was put on the market by Rawdon Hill Homes founders Geoff and Sue Hardie who built it in 2007.

Sue spoke highly of the property and their time in the home, telling the publication: ‘We had a dolphin out the front yesterday, and while it’s rare we have had whales out the front as well.

‘We have had our drinks on the beach and standing in the water, and it has just been idyllic,’ she added, noting she hopes the property would be home to a younger family.
