Denise Fox is finally heading back to Walford after weeks in the hospital, but the relief of coming home is about to collide with a devastating truth she’s not ready to share.
The beloved character, played by Diane Parish, has been away battling blood cancer. While she was recovering, her daughter Chelsea has been dealing with a major crisis of her own. Young Jordan is now in a wheelchair after being hit by a car driven by Ian Beale.
To make things even more complicated, Sheila, the grandmother of Jordan’s father Gray Atkins, has become a regular presence in their lives. The Fox-Trueman family is busy preparing the house for Denise’s return, hoping to give her a warm welcome.
But when Denise finally arrives, it’s clear something is off. According to reports, doctors have told her the treatment didn’t work as expected, and she will need to try again. She chooses to keep this heartbreaking news to herself.
Struggling to settle back into normal life, Denise visits the hospital and learns that a friend has passed away. Devastated, she leans on her daughter Libby for support as they head home.

Things take a sharp turn when Denise spots Jordan with Sheila. Curious, she digs deeper and discovers the woman is Gray’s nan. Determined to get answers, Denise insists on a proper meeting.
When Sheila arrives, Denise asks Chelsea and Libby to leave the room. She then questions Sheila directly about her true intentions. What will Sheila reveal?
Later in the week, Denise finally opens up to Jack Branning, telling him the chemo isn’t working as hoped. She makes him promise to keep it from the family, then pours her energy into planning a leaving party for Libby.

Will Libby leave without ever knowing the truth her mother is hiding?
