In a 𝓈𝒽𝓸𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 incident that unfolded during a rideshare trip, a Florida woman found herself in hot water after allegedly stabbing her friend with scissors over a disagreement about drinking beer in an Uber. Lynn Marie Zamora, 32, was taken into custody on Monday night following the altercation, which reportedly began when her friend informed her that consuming alcohol was against Uber’s rules.
According to an arrest report obtained by Law & Crime, the trouble began shortly after the duo was picked up from the Best Western Plus Kendall Hotel & Suites in Miami. Sources claim that Zamora became increasingly frustrated when her friend insisted she couldn’t enjoy a beer during the ride. Despite his repeated warnings, she allegedly pulled a pair of scissors from her purse and stabbed him in the left bicep and calf.
The Uber driver, witnessing the chaos, quickly pulled over and exited the vehicle, with the injured victim following suit to call for help. Emergency responders arrived shortly after, transporting the victim to a nearby hospital where he received treatment for injuries that were thankfully not life-threatening.
Zamora now faces serious charges, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and has been booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Interestingly, court documents reveal that she was already on probation for a previous battery conviction involving a senior citizen, and she has a history of other assault-related charges.
During a video court appearance on Wednesday, Zamora’s attorney requested that she be moved to a hospital for treatment, but the judge denied this request due to the ongoing probation violation. The court set her bond at $7,500, and as she learned her fate, Zamora reportedly became visibly upset, pleading with the judge before being escorted away.
Her next court date is scheduled for August 12, leaving many to wonder how this bizarre incident will unfold in the coming days. What could have driven such a drastic reaction over a simple request?
