The tension between social media personality Charleston White and hip-hop mogul J Prince has escalated to a dangerous new level after Whiteās Houston home was reportedly broken into and shots were fired in an incident that has set the internet ablaze. White, known for his unapologetic and often confrontational commentary, claims he was ambushed in the Fifth Ward neighborhood of HoustonāJ Princeās home turfāand later targeted at his own residence while he was out of town.
The š¹šš¶šš¶ began when White attended a birthday party for Dr. Candace Matthews in Fifth Ward, a neighborhood deeply associated with J Prince and his Rap-A-Lot Records empire. White, who has a history of calling out figures in the hip-hop industry, posted video footage showing him leaving the party under a hail of chaos.
In the footage, White can be heard shouting orders to his driver, telling them to ārun the lightā and āget on the highwayā as a crowd surrounds the vehicle. āHey man, anybody behind me going to get knocked out,ā White says in the clip. He later adds, āI showed up by myself in your hood.ā
Whiteās account of the night is visceral and defiant. He claims that after his car was shot at, a mob of around 30 peopleāwhom he refers to as āMob Tiesāāshowed up to demand an apology to J Prince. āNot only did they shoot at the car, they called 30 mob times,ā White says in a subsequent video.
āMob times showed up 30 deep and all they wanted to do was to plead with me to apologize to J Prince. J Prince, your mama.ā Whiteās refusal to apologize has only intensified the situation.
But the breaking point came when Whiteās home was broken into while he was performing at a comedy show in another city. In a series of posts, White revealed that his residence had been ransacked and that he suspects someone close to him may have played a role. āI have spoken to one another every day and acted like brothers up until my new home was broken into,ā White wrote, tagging a man identified as Santana 305.
White says Santana was with him at his comedy show hours before the break-in and now appears to be avoiding contact. āNow heās mad because Iām mad about my home being broken into,ā White added, suggesting a personal betrayal.
The timeline has fueled speculation. White entered Fifth Ward, disrespected J Prince, and then left under gunfire. Almost immediately afterward, his home was burglarized.
Critics are questioning whether the events are connected or if White is conflating separate incidents. But White is adamant: J Prince is behind it all. āI got a secret recording that Iām sending to the FBI,ā White declared.
āI got names of the shooter. Not only that, I done sent it to CTV (sic), I done sent it to DJ Academics, I done sent it to Aiden Ross. J Prince is busted.ā
J Prince, however, has not remained silent. The legendary rap executive posted an enigmatic message on Instagram that many believe is aimed directly at White. āNever allow a maggot to draw you down to its level,ā the post read.
āA maggot will always beat you at being a maggot. Eventually, maggots become flies eating sā, agitating others and spreading contamination until their last days. I lived with roaches, rats, and flies in most of my life, all trying to eat off my plate.
Eventually, the universe rewarded them all, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. To all the human rats, roaches, and flies who keep campaigning, eventually youāll be elected. Congratulations.
#Jprinciples.ā
The post has been interpreted by many as a warning to White, though J Prince never directly named him. White fired back almost immediately, calling out J Princeās son and accusing the family of running a criminal enterprise. āYou aināt no goddamn mob, James,ā White said in a live video.
āAnd yāall aināt got no goddamn Mob Ties. They need to put you in the fā. We not afraid of J Prince up here in Dallas.ā
The feud has drawn widespread attention from the hip-hop community and beyond. Some observers believe White is exposing a powerful figure who has operated behind a veil of intimidation for decades. Others argue that Whiteās reckless behaviorātraveling alone into a hostile neighborhood and taunting known figuresāwas bound to provoke a response.
āHe went into Fifth Ward speaking disrespectfully about J Prince,ā one commentator noted. āReports later surfaced about shots being fired, and then Charleston said his home was broken into while he was away. Now he is questioning a longtime friend connected to the property.ā
The friend in question, Santana 305, has been a recurring presence in Whiteās social media posts for years. Videos and pictures show the two together as recently as seven weeks ago. Whiteās decision to publicly accuse Santana of involvement has created a rift in his inner circle.
āThat history makes Charleston suspicions more personal, but it still does not prove anybody was secretly working with J Prince Jr. ,ā analysts say.
Whiteās version of events is also facing scrutiny from critics who point out inconsistencies in his housing claims. He says he purchased the home from Santana, yet he has referred to a maintenance worker and renters insuranceādetails that seem contradictory for a homeowner. āIs Charleston exposing a backdoor move, or are people finding holes in his story before blaming J Prince Jr.?ā
social media users are asking.
The stakes continue to rise. White has already sent what he claims is evidence to the FBI, and he is vowing to take the matter to the U. S.
Attorney General if necessary. āI know how to read to the Department of Justice if the FBI donāt do nothing,ā he said. āAnd if the Department of Justice donāt do nothing, Iāll walk to the major capital of law which is the Attorney General.ā
Meanwhile, J Princeās camp appears to be taking a more subtle approachāusing coded language and indirect threats rather than direct confrontation. That strategy, however, may be backfiring. White has released footage that he says proves he was not firing from his car, challenging claims from āacademicsā who originally reported that White and a friend fired first.
āDo it look like any bullets that came from the inside my car? Do it look like anything damaged inside my car?ā White asks in the video.
He further mocked the idea that he would shoot up his own vehicle, calling it ridiculous.
The public is split. Some see White as a brave truth-teller willing to take on a powerful machine. Others view him as a provocateur who has stirred up a hornetās nest and is now playing the victim.
āCharleston White is one of the most dangerous [people] in this game,ā one supporter said. āDangerous, bro.ā But detractors argue that Whiteās refusal to back downāor even to stay out of harmās wayāis a recipe for disaster.
Adding to the complexity, White has claimed that J Princeās right-hand man approached him at the party and tried to make him apologize. White says he refused. āI stayed for three hours just to show these [people] I really think Iām bad,ā White said, referencing his weight and physical stature.
āI donāt weigh nothing but 125 lbs, 5ā8āāone eye with a hip thatās taller than the other. I stayed in that [place] for three hours in Fifth Ward watching [people] take pictures.ā
Whiteās rhetoric has taken on a messianic tone, with him calling himself a prophet and invoking biblical scripture. āGod said, āLet no weapon formed against you shall prosper in the name of Jesus,āā he declared. āThough you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you shall fear no evilāin James Prince, Fifth Ward, Texas, Rap-A-Lot Records, and Mob Ties.
They šš¾šš people, they rape people, they extort people. According to God, thatās evil.ā
He then went further, praying in a mocking manner: āWe plead the blood of Jesus on Jamesā big nose that when the seasons change his allergies flare back up.ā The performance was part rant, part sermon, and part public endangermentāa cocktail that has made White a lightning rod for controversy.
Law enforcement has not yet confirmed any of the details. No arrests have been reported in connection with the break-in or the shots fired. Houston police have not commented on the incident, and representatives for J Prince have not responded to requests for statement.
But the war of words is far from over. White has promised to release more evidence, including the names of the individuals he claims were involved in the break-in. He has also posted a screenshot of a message from Santana 305, who appears to have blocked him or gone silent.
āHe was with me at my comedy show hours before the show,ā White complained. āNow heās mad because Iām mad about my home being broken intoāas if Iām wrong.ā
The situation has all the hallmarks of a drawn-out feud that could escalate into something more serious. White, who has built a career on being unfiltered and fearless, shows no sign of backing down. āIām still in Houston,ā he taunted in one video.
āIām going to be out and about tonight. I done been everywhere where I done said something and somebody aināt like it. Iām a real life prophet.
I walk amongst the people where the people can touch me.ā
J Prince, a figure who has survived decades in the music industry and weathered countless controversies, appears content to let his cryptic Instagram post speak for itself. But with White promising to go to federal authorities and to keep the pressure on, the feud is entering a new, more dangerous phase.
One thing is clear: The Fifth Ward incident and the subsequent break-in have transformed a personal dispute into a public spectacle. As both sides jockey for control of the narrative, the hip-hop world watches closelyāaware that this could become a defining moment for both men. Whether it leads to legal consequences, street violence, or a šæš¾šš¶š media circus remains to be seen.
But for now, the tension is palpable, and the stakes are higher than ever.
