With a budget equivalent of £3000, one car fanatic in China has managed to construct his own supercar in just six months.
This astonishing car comes complete with impressive scissor doors, a stunning red coat of paint and a plush interior.
Needless to say, this car is all about its aesthetic quality as it can only reach a maximum speed of just 37mph.
The homemade supercar is the work of inventor and car hobbyist Chen Yinxi, who at 27, spent half a year building his masterpiece.
His handwork came to the public’s attention after he was invited to display it at the auto expo in Haikou, capital of China’s southernmost island province Hainan.
Visitors of the 2015 Hainan International Automotive Industry Exhibition were impressed by his attractive, red sports car, which was hand built by the young university graduate.
Apart from its underwhelming top speed, the only other major fault against the impressive vehicle is that it is currently not road legal.
Having studied automobile engineering at university, Mr Yinxi is keen to establish himself in the car industry, and also has other designs he is keen to develop.
However, he is unsure of how long he can continue his hobby, as his family wants him to inherit a factory owned by his father, Chen Ziming.
Ziming said he is nonetheless supportive of his son’s hobby, and added that he hopes the car’s design can receive some recognition from automotive manufacturers.
Despite its impracticality as a road car, Yinxi has still found a way of paying off the hours of hard work and costly materials.
He is currently leasing out the vehicle for photo shoots, cashing in on his impressive design.
