In 2019, McLaren first launched its first grand tourer supercar called McLaren GT. This car model is designed towards long journeys instead of McLaren’s traditional racetrack.
Built to replace the previous McLaren GT, the new McLaren GTS supercar has a more powerful engine, lighter weight and high practicality.
McLaren GTS is equipped with a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine, producing a maximum capacity of 626 horsepower, an increase of 14 horsepower compared to its predecessor McLaren GT. In addition, the new GTS also weighs only 1,519 kg, nearly 10 kg lighter than the GT.
Greater power and lighter weight certainly aid in delivering an engaging driving experience. In fact, the McLaren GTS takes 8.9 seconds to accelerate from 0-200 km/h and only 3.2 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h. The car’s maximum speed is up to 327 km/h, maybe even higher.
Regarding the exterior, the car has only had the front bumper renewed, decorative details refined and new wheels added. In addition, customers also have the opportunity to personalize the car with more options than before including Lava Gray paint color and unique GTS Turbine cast alloy wheels.
Comes with the engine block is a rear-wheel drive system and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. With a carbon fiber monocoque chassis combined with a smart adaptive suspension system, McLaren GTS promises to bring a more optimal driving experience.
The new GTS also has an optional front axle lift system that can operate twice as fast as the old GT, taking just 4 seconds to completely raise or lower the nose.

Michael Leiters, CEO of McLaren Automotive, said: “The new McLaren GTS delivers an unprecedented combination of McLaren’s driving pleasure and performance, with refinement and practicality.
GTS not only gives you a true supercar driving experience but is also the ideal companion for long journeys. It can be said that this is a true sports racing car but much more versatile.”
Customers can now order the McLaren GTS, with the first cars expected to be delivered in 2024
