😳 Drunk Ohio Couple Arrested After Allegedly Attacking Family on Cruise Ship—Then a 9-Year-Old Was Punched...

A seemingly fun cruise took a 𝓈𝒽𝓸𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 turn when an intoxicated couple from Ohio allegedly stormed into a family’s cabin, leading to a chaotic confrontation that involved a child. The incident, which left many stunned, unfolded on Saturday evening at Port Canaveral, just a short drive from Orlando.

Gannon Jacox, 29, and his girlfriend Brooklyn Hicks, 28, were reportedly enjoying their vacation when their loud behavior drew the ire of fellow passengers. According to Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, after being asked to quiet down, the couple confronted the family outside their cabin, escalating tensions dramatically.

In a troubling turn of events, the couple allegedly forced their way into the family’s room, where Jacox is said to have physically attacked two adults and their 9-year-old child. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the situation quickly devolved into a brawl, with Jacox striking all three victims while Hicks swung wildly in an attempt to join the fray.

Sheriff Ivey noted that Jacox suffered a significant injury to his eye during the altercation, possibly from a blow delivered by one of the victims or even from Hicks’ erratic punches. Thankfully, none of the family members sustained serious injuries in this alarming incident.

Following the cruise ship’s return to Port Canaveral, Jacox was charged with burglary with battery and child 𝓪𝓫𝓾𝓼𝓮 without great bodily harm. Hicks faced similar charges, including battery, as both were taken into custody and booked at the Brevard County Jail. Jacox’s bond was set at $31,000, while Hicks’ was set at $6,000, according to jail records.

Sheriff Ivey took to social media to address the incident, emphasizing that the chaos had little to do with the summer heat, but rather with poor decisions fueled by alcohol. He cautioned potential troublemakers, stating, “If you can’t hold your liquor, then you definitely shouldn’t be out in public causing a scene like this.”

As four cruise ships docked at Port Canaveral that day, including vessels from Royal Caribbean and Disney, the specific ship involved in this incident remains unclear.

With the dust settling on this bizarre episode, one has to wonder: what measures will cruise lines take to ensure safety and prevent such unruly behavior in the future?
