The behind the scenes video also shows the singer fooling around on set, practicing her scary poses, and having fun with her temporary look.

She even recommended that everyone tries it, saying looking like a zombie made her feel free of insecurities.

‘You know what’s weird?’ she asked. ‘When you look this gross, you just have no physical insecurities at all, like none.

‘They’re gone because it’s just really freeing. I encourage everyone to look like a corpse at least once.’

The time lapse video shows Taylor begin the process with a fresh face, and quickly turn into the stuff of nightmares as two make-up artists tirelessly work to transform her face into a zombie’s.

They added a prosthesis to make her check bones look more pronounced and shaded her face in gray tones to match that of a decomposed body.

As they did this, other people in Taylor’s team worked on her body, also adding prostheses to her hands to make them bony.

‘This is definitely a revolutionary look in beauty, it’s called just straight up dead,’ Taylor says of her look.

Her team even glued green specks all over her body to make her look moldy, as if she had been buried for a while, until coming out from her gave at beginning of the music video.
