Craig Kerzmann, 49, and Sarah Kerzmann, 45, were taken into custody following a domestic violence call on Saturday. The couple, who moved to the small city from Texas nearly three years ago, found themselves at the center of a harrowing investigation that took a chilling turn after a neighbor provided crucial information.
According to a statement from the Minot Police Department, officers were alerted to the existence of a deceased infant believed to be the child of the Kerzmanns. Reports suggest that the child had died approximately three years ago in another state, but the couple allegedly failed to report the death to authorities.
Court documents reveal that Mrs. Kerzmann reportedly confessed to a neighbor, just a day before their arrest, about the deceased infant being stored in the closet. The affidavit indicates that she gave birth to triplets, with the infant passing away around six months of age while reportedly under her husband’s supervision.
