Rudy Giuliani has begged fans for donations to help him ‘buy food’ after his ‘measly’ bank account was seized by authorities.

The former New York City mayor, 80, was ordered to hand over his Manhattan penthouse and Mercedes to two Georgia election workers he defamed after contesting Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss.

Mother and daughter Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss won the $148million defamation case after Giuliani accused them of tampering with votes.

Giuliani went on to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.

Sharing a fundraising page set up to fund his legal battle, Giuliani wrote: ‘Wilkie Farr Law firm and Judge Liman are trying to inhibit me from making a living.

‘They seized my measly checking account so I can’t buy food. Help me fight.’

Separately, he said: ‘They have seized all my money which wasn’t much. I need legal representation against these evil people. I can’t buy food.’

The fundraising page has already raised more than $120,000 to fund his legal battle.

It refers to Giuliani as ‘America’s Mayor’, and says he ‘has been persecuted to the highest level through law fare due to his support of President Donald Trump.’

Since his social media plea on November 9, in excess of 600 fans have donated to the cause.

‘God bless you, Rudy. It is shameful what they are doing to you. You are a true American patriot and hero,’ one fan wrote.

‘I am appalled at the weaponization of our justice system. You were the glue that brought NYC back to life after 9/11. These people are utterly evil. Breaks my heart what they have done to you,’ another wrote.

‘America’s Mayor should not be treated like this. God sees all things and everything stolen from you will be returned 100X. God bless you, sir.’

The most generous donors have given as much as $1,500.

Giuliani has a $250,000 target on the fundraising page.

He has been ordered to hand over his $5.6million Manhattan apartment, cash, 26 watches and his Mercedez Benz after losing the defamation case.
