Florida officials have launched an investigation after a human head washed ashore on Key Biscayne south of Miami Beach on Tuesday. The Miami-Dade Police Department said it received a call around 8.30am by a worker who reported the discovery near the 251 block of Crandon Boulevard. Responding officers said the worker was raking the beach when he found the head.
President-elect Donald Trump announced that his former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe is his choice to lead the CIA – citing his credentials battling the ‘fake Russian collusion’ narrative. Trump announced the latest loyalist pick to his rapidly growing cabinet, which had been floated, with a statement on a day when he announced he would tap former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as U.S. ambassador to Israel. Once again, Trump used language suggesting it was a done deal, although the newly Republican Senate will have to confirm the selection.
MARIANNE WILLIAMSON: Democratic Elites destroyed our party… its renewal begins with their repentance
Until the day he died in 1995, if you asked my father who he voted for in any presidential election he said ‘Roosevelt.’ It was gospel in our house that Democrats were the party of the people and Republicans were the economic royalists. That was then, and this is now. The majority of Americans don’t necessarily see it that way anymore.

What’s left of Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has been radio silent on wild claims the Democratic nominee wasted millions on celebrity endorsements. The vice president wheeled out Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Eminem and Oprah Winfrey to try and get supporters on side in her failed bid to be president. Since her defeat to Donald Trump, allegations she paid extortionate seven-figure sums to the A-list backers have emerged on social media.
Trump announces shock Ambassador to Israel pick Mike Huckabee as Middle East approaches brink of war
President-elect Donald Trump announced Tuesday that former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is his choice to be the next U.S. ambassador amid the ongoing war in Gaza. Huckabee is a former presidential candidate himself who is the father of Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who served as Trump’s White House press secretary and interviewed him on stage at a campaign rally. ‘I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected former Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee, has been nominated to be The United States Ambassador to Israel,’ Trump wrote, although he does not yet have the formal power to make nominations until he takes the oath of office.
Massachusetts Air National Guard member Jack Teixeira has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for leaking classified military documents about the Ukraine war. The 22-year-old appeared in federal court on Tuesday after pleading guilty to leaking the information to his internet friends on Discord, considered one of the most consequential national security breaches in years. Prosecutors had urged the judge to hand down a 17 year sentence because Teixeira had ‘taken an oath to defend the United States and to protect its secrets.’

One of Donald Trump’s most trusted advisors has taken a jab at Kevin Rudd, Australia’s ambassador to the United States, hinting that his time in Washington may be coming to an end. Dan Scavino Jr, who is one of the President-elect’s most senior campaign advisors, responded to Rudd’s congratulatory message on Trump’s election victory with an hourglass GIF on the social media platform X – suggesting that his days in the role might be numbered. The message from the incoming Trump administration came just weeks after Rudd quietly deleted tweets from the final stretch of the 2020 US election campaign, where he called Trump ‘the most destructive president in history’.
Kash Patel has emerged as a top contender to lead the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) under Donald Trump and now seems to have the backing of Elon Musk for the position. Trump and Patel have been in continued communication for years and have discussed a national security-related role in the president-elect’s second administration. A source familiar with the conversations says a position for Patel like CIA Director falls within ‘his lane,’ but had nothing more specific to preview.
Donald Trump is considering tapping his firebrand attorney Alina Habba to be his top spokesperson once he takes office in January, according to reports. DailyMail.com has learned that Habba, 40, is flying to Palm Beach in Florida on Tuesday evening and is expected to have a discussion with the President-elect this week about a potential role in his administration. She could be asked to join Trump as his White House press secretary, a hugely high-profile job that requires sparring with members of the media daily, and being the ‘face’ of the administration.
Two senior soldiers from one of the Army’s most prestigious regiments face investigation after wearing Nazi uniforms to a party days before Remembrance Sunday. The sergeants from the Queen’s Royal Hussars were frogmarched from the fancy dress event at their barracks after shocked guests complained about their attire. Remarkably, their Regimental Sergeant Major had approved the SS outfits – and he has been suspended pending an inquiry.

President-elect Donald Trump said Tuesday that he is nominating Fox News host and decorated Army veteran Pete Hegseth to serve as his defense secretary. The 44-year-old deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and won two Bronze Stars, then unsuccessfully ran for Senate in Minnesota in 2012 before joining Fox News. ‘Pete is tough, smart and a true believer in America First,’ Trump said in a statement, as he spent much of Tuesday adding to his cabinet.
Looking at the Trump family assembled on stage in West Palm Beach last week, you might have thought they’d gathered for a cocktail party rather than a victory speech. Sequins, shoulder pads and stilettos dominated in a line-up of plastic – and identikit – perfection. Even Ivanka’s disco-esque blue crushed-velvet pantsuit, as ill-fitting as it was wrinkled, failed to add the pizzazz that might have lifted her above the group.
Well, well, well: the republic stands. And dumbstruck liberals can’t cope. Supporters wept outside Howard University as Kamala Harris conceded. Columbia, Harvard, and New York’s exclusive Fieldston School offered students days off to grieve — ‘hold space’, as they love to say, for what might have been. Georgetown University opened ‘self-care suites’ where students and faculty could color, play with Lego and have milk and cookies ‘in recognition of these stressful times’. Northwestern and Princeton did the same.
