This star may have stopped herself short of doing the old kiss and tell, but what she did do was still very telling.
Katy Perry was grilled over which Hollywood men she fancied on Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old admitted she was single and ‘ready to mingle’ but some potential Hollywood suitors fell short as it seems it was a case of been there done that.
Harry Styles was the early front runner in Ellen DeGeneres’ version of would you rather – which she dubbed ‘Will you Perry me?’.
Harry won out as the songstress loves his new record, but he was cut when he faced off against Leonardo DiCaprio – who emerged the overall winner of Katy’s heart.
Katy wanted to make it clear she was not about to steal anyone’s man, saying: ‘I think they all have girlfriends and baby mamas so I’m not coming for any of them!’
But she did falter when it came to Chris Martin versus Leo as she stumbled after blurting out Chris’ name.
‘What if I’ve actually kissed many of these people already?’ Katy asked Ellen. ‘I hate this game.’
Speaking about her love life in relation to her rather sexy single Bon Appetit, the singer told Ellen as someone now in her thirties she is coming out of her sexual shell and loving it.
The star said: ‘I love being a women and I love you know a consensual interaction… there’s nothing wrong with that we’re all animals!’
Speaking of the song and the album, Witness as a whole, Katy said: ‘Right now I think you’re just seeing parts of the body of work and that part is the sexually powered and liberated part.’
Katy put together the album after taking eight months off – something she needed.
‘I did the Super Bowl and then I did a big tour for two years and I was tired I’m human, a human needed a rest so I took October to June off.
‘And I started writing a record in June of last year and I wrote over 40 songs and now I have 15 beautiful songs to represent this story that I want to represent to the world and it comes out June 9.’
Katy is about to be extra busy though, with the star all but confirming reports she will be a judge on the new American Idol.
While she sipped a coffee to avoid saying yes or no when Ellen asked, the star did say: ‘Judge not least he be judge but they didn’t say anything about constructive criticism and I’m good at that.’
Katy also got a chance to school Ellen on just what it takes to go to the toilet in outfits like her dramatic red dress from the Met Gala.
‘There was a lot of self-control and Go Girls, do you know those little contractions where you can pee standing up? I’ve used them in several music videos because I always find myself in this predicament where I have a very extravagant, lavish, unrealistic, unpractical costume on. That’s just me, I guess.’
Katy also revealed why she had decided to get her new short ‘do – the the Ellen meets the Alfalfa as she calls it.
The star said after trying to go too blonde her hair had started to fall out: ‘So this is the way I handled it, this is the destination I showed up to.’
