Lionel Messi scored again for Inter Miami, this time with a spectacular finish in the Leagues Cup final against Nashville.
The Leagues Cup final had a dramatic end when the two teams drew 1-1 in 90 minutes and had to go to a penalty shootout. In this “gunfight” Inter Miami won the final 11-10, including Messi’s successful shot.
Earlier, in the first half, it was Messi who opened the scoring with an “unstoppable” shot, sending the ball close to the post and into the top corner of the goal, making all efforts of the opponent’s goalkeeper meaningless.
Messi celebrates his 10th goal in the Leagues Cup
On Geodis Park, Messi did not have many balls to show due to being heavily tutored. However, in the situation of unsuccessful coordination between Robert Taylor and Benjamin Cremaschi, the ball accidentally came to Messi’s position in front of the penalty area. Immediately, La Pulga pushed the ball and dribbled past captain Walker Zimmerman and then fired a shot into the top corner of the goal, where goalkeeper Elliot Panicco completely surrendered.

Messi and Inter Miami win the Leagues Cup
This can be considered the most beautiful goal of Messi since joining Inter Miami, both in terms of the ability to seize opportunities, eliminate the opponent and the difficulty of finishing.
This was Messi’s 10th goal in the Leagues Cup, made after only 7 games, thereby helping him win the title of Top scorer. On the way to winning the cup, the Argentine striker scored against Cruz Azul, Atlanta City (2), Orlando City (2), FC Dallas (2), Philadelphia, Charlotte and Nashville, respectively.
