Angelina Jolie may come from an acting family, but she doesn’t want her children to follow in her footsteps.

The 40-year-old admitted during an appearance on the Today show that she and husband Brad Pitt would only be happy for their six kids to take on Hollywood if they had done something else first.

‘I hope not!’ Angelina said with a laugh when asked if her children – who have small roles in her latest animated movie Kung Fu Panda 3 – had caught the acting bug.

Telling it like it is: Angelina Jolie admitted during an interview with the Today show which aired on Wednesday that she doesn’t want her children to follow in her footsteps

‘We’ve always said if they’re going to be actors I hope they do something [else first] and then be actors,’ she added.

The A-list couple have six children together: Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, nine, and twins Knox and Vivienne, both seven.

Angelina also said that it ‘was so much fun’ to have the brood work with her on the movie.

‘I think what was so sweet about it was that they took it very seriously,’ she said. They came in and said, “I don’t know if I could do this. I’m not sure if I can do this.”
