Journalist Toby Cudworth has shared why Manchester City could be looking to sign Eberechi Eze.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the Crystal Palace midfielder is of interest to City but could cost the Manchester club £70m to land a deal for.
Now though, one journalist has shared some information regarding what it is about the 25-year-old that may have caught the attention of the treble winners.

Speaking in a recent episode of the Talking Transfers podcast, Cudworth had this to say on the matter.
He said: “They do have interest in Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, who has been wonderful for the last six months. Ever since Patrick Vieira left and Roy Hodgson came back in, he’s been Palace’s best player by a mile.
“Dictating the tempo of games, all that good stuff and I think Pep Guardiola has looked at that and City see him as a player who can control proceedings, much like [Kevin] De Bruyne so he’s an option for them.”

This shows how effective he can be in terms of dictating games by making things happen in an attacking sense, as Cudworth mentioned, and being able to create goalscoring opportunities for his teammates.
It also make it easy to see why the south London club have set a significantly high price tag on the midfielder and why they want to keep hold of him.
Bearing in mind how De Bruyne ended the previous top-flight campaign with more goal-creating actions (31) than any other City player, this shows why Cudworth said Guardiola may see Eze in a similar light as the Belgian in terms of their creativity.
Moving forward, if City were able to land a deal for the Palace star this summer, we feel that this would be a very exciting signing for the Manchester club.
