Chevrolet Camaro ‘Shock’ revealed for SEMA

Eye-catching sports car showcases new colour option and range of accessories headed to US dealers.

Chevrolet has revealed a special example of its 2019 Camaro for this year’s SEMA show, which kicks off on October 30.

Finished in an eye-catching bright yellow dubbed ‘Shock’, the Camaro show car is based on the 2019 model-year SS and features new accessories and performance parts that will soon be available from US Chevrolet dealers.

Headlining the range are a black wing spoiler, fuel cap with exposed carbon-fibre insert, black ‘Camaro’ badges for the fenders, cold-air induction kit, Recaro performance seats, Brembo six-piston front brakes, and suspension upgrades usually reserved for the 1LE variant.

The show car also features “concept front-end styling” that will probably become an option in the near future, including a ‘relocated’ Chevrolet bow-tie emblem in the upper intake, along with new bonnet and fender decals – looks like the company has moved the badge in response to negative feedback from the MY19 facelift.

Chevrolet says customers will be able to shop online at the company’s website for the new accessories range, choose home or dealer delivery, along with selecting whether they prefer to have the parts installed at their local dealer.

Additionally, all the parts showcased on the Camaro Shock have been designed by the same people who created the Camaro, and the company says the components were “also validated to the same rigorous standards” as the factory-installed ones – and they don’t void the warranty, either.
