ERLING HAALAND has revealed his favourite goals of a record-breaking Premier League season.
The Manchester City star has been unstoppable this season – right from the very first game when he netted twice against West Ham.
When asked about his favourite goal Haaland immediately thought of his first strike at London Stadium – a penalty he slotted past Lukasz Fabianski.
Haaland, 22, is proud of several of his “fantastic” goals, particularly his chip against West Ham which broke the Prem record for most goals in a season.
In an interview with Sky Sports he said: “The first game was important against West Ham, to get a good start. To calm a couple of British people down a bit I think was important. Of course there’s so many nice goals in there – the hat-trick goal against Manchester United was fantastic. The record-breaking goal against West Ham was fantastic, the bicycle goal was fantastic so there’s a lot of nice goals and a lot of goals I really appreciate.”
Haaland’s form has made him hugely popular amongst the City fanbase, with former Oasis duo Noel and Liam Gallagher both big fans. Real Madrid also like the striker and want him to be part of their rebuild after missing out on the Champions League and La Liga.
Haaland is being lined up as a potential replacement for Karim Benzema, who could leave next summer. The Norwegian now has the chance to make history with City by helping the club to the treble, including a first-ever Champions League win.
