Erling Haaland refused to sign a boy’s Liverpool shirt on a trip back to his childhood club – and reminisced about stealing buns.
The Manchester City star was greeted with cheers by young players at FK Bryne, where he first learned the trade, as he visited where he grew up.
As the football hopefuls surrounded their hero, one approached him in an Alisson shirt.
‘I can’t sign a Liverpool shirt, I’m sorry,’ he said with a smile. ‘Bring a City shirt next time, and I’ll give you an autograph.’
Haaland was friendly with the boys and smiled with them as they talked about their training, giving high-fives and allowing them to hug him in a video shown on Sky Sports ahead of Manchester City’s 2-1 win at Sheffield United.

Elsewhere in the video, he recalls some of his old stomping grounds.
‘Just up ahead is a bakery. That’s where I used to steal buns,’ he said while in a car.
‘I found a room where they threw out incorrectly manufactured buns. We just went in there.’
We also saw Haaland clambering into a tractor. ‘This tractor is not exactly brand-new,’ he says. ‘Yes, ‘I can ride a tractor, but not once from the 19th or 20th century!
‘I don’t know what year this thing is from, but definitely before I was born.
He reflected: ‘It’s always nice to come home. I can meet my grandparents and my mother.’
