Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman, in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She killed it in the trailer. and we got to talk to her on Tuesday because Gadot is also the face of Gucci’s latest fragrance, Bamboo.
She was front and center at a lunch in her honor at the Bowery Hotel, so we asked her whether she was fully in touch with her ladylike side.
“Not so much. Now, it’s more than before. Growing up, I was a tomboy. I was a dancer. I was a basketball player. I broke my fingers. I had bruises. Never skirts or dresses. When I started to become a model, I realized I needed to educate myself a bit more. I’m better than before but I’m not such a girlie-girl.”
Sound like that makes her pretty perfect to play the most famous female superhero. Sorry, fans, but she was under strict orders to maintain the secrecy surrounding the film. So we asked about the perks of being a Gucci face, and whether that meant lots of goodies.”
A lot. I don’t want to brag, but I’m very happy. It’s like a little girl in a candy store.”And no, she didn’t wake up as radiant as she appeared at the lunch.”Two hours of hair and makeup. Seriously. At 8am, I wasn’t looking like that.”
