He also said in his own video post in Tampa Bay: ‘What’s up, Bucs fans? So, I’m at the game right now; you guys should come show up.

‘They actually let me join the team for the day, so I got my own name own name on the jersey – I don’t know if you can see it, but you’ll see me on television.’

The Bucs played along with the PR stunt and wrote on social media: ‘The newest Buccaneer, MrBeast’.

The reason behind Donaldson’s full-kit move then became apparent when he led the Bucs out of the tunnel and onto the field ahead of Sunday’s game.

MrBeast is said to have the biggest following of any influencer across YouTube, X, Instagram and TikTok – which works out as over 350 million.

His appearance at Raymond James Stadium was not his only sporting venture of late, with the Greenville native also agreeing a jersey deal with NBA team the Charlotte Hornets earlier this month.

Donaldson will advertise a logo for his snack company Feastables on the Hornets’ uniforms and media backdrops for news conferences as part of the agreement – the first ever between an NBA franchise and an influencer.
