According to video clips posted on social media platforms, rapper 50 Cent had a performance on the evening of August 30th. The 48-year-old rapper received a faulty microphone from a staff member, which he threw down onto the stage. He then received another microphone from the staff, but it was also malfunctioning and unusable.
Angry, the rapper forcefully threw the faulty microphone down towards the audience gathered to watch his performance. After receiving a functioning microphone, 50 Cent continued his performance without paying attention to where the thrown microphone landed.
Unfortunately, the microphone flew straight into the forehead of a female audience member named Bryhana Monegain, causing her to bleed. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of the injury. Bryhana Monegain is an MC for the radio program Power 106, and she reported the incident to the police, leading to an investigation.
Rapper 50 Cent’s lawyer stated that he did not intentionally harm anyone. “As I have told the police, my client never intentionally attacked anyone with a microphone. Any statement or claim to the contrary is false and distorted,” the lawyer remarked.
Prior to this incident, a close source to rapper 50 Cent revealed that Bryhana Monegain was standing in a restricted area near the stage and was not allowed to be there. However, Bryhana Monegain refuted this claim, stating that the area where she was standing was not restricted, and rapper 50 Cent looked directly at her before throwing the microphone.
