Dubbed the “floating palace on the sea”, super yacht Katara is one of the most mysterious ships in the world. All parameters are kept secret by the Qatar Royal Family.

Super yacht Katara is said to be owned by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, former Emir of Qatar. This is considered one of the largest and most expensive super yachts in the world, according to SCMP.

The $400 million ship is famous for its mysterious privacy, with close-ups of the outdoor living spaces on deck rare. Many people believe that swimming pool systems are mostly built indoors to increase security.

In fact, Katara is a mystery to the entire yachting world. All technical specifications and details of interior decoration products are kept confidential within the closed circle of the Qatar Royal Family.

The 7,922-ton super yacht provides enough space to create a floating city for royal owners, Superyacht Times reported. At the same time, Katara’s elegant beauty from outside to inside is always highly appreciated. Espen Øino and Alberto Pinto are the two designers behind this flashy, luxurious look.

The prestigious ship has a helipad and multiple decks, with a capacity of up to 35 guests and 90 crew members.

Normally, Katara moves at a steady speed of 15 knots. When needed, the yacht reaches a maximum speed of 20 knots. In August, Karata was discovered parked in Falmouth (Cornwall, England).
