Jessica Alba named Rachel Zegler among 10 Latina women in Hollywood who “keep our entire community inspired and motivated with everything they do” on Wednesday
Rachel Zegler is sending up praise for Hollywood veteran Jessica Alba.
After Alba, 42, included Zegler, 22, in a Wednesday Instagram post she labeled “#WomenCrushWednesday” — highlighting “a group of incredible actresses 🎬 that keep our entire community inspired and motivated with everything they do” — the Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes star responded.
“i adore you @jessicaalba,” Zegler wrote in her own Instagram Story Wednesday, re-sharing the photo Alba had shared within her original post. “thank you for being the blueprint for so many of us and continuing to pave the way, and doing it gorgeously. ❤️”
Alba labeled Zegler among 10 Latina women in Hollywood she wrote in a caption “are representing their heritage and showing so many little girls 👧🏽👧🏻👧🏾 out there that anything is possible – no matter where you come from.”
Aside from Zegler, Alba shouted out Bruna Marquezine, Selena Gomez, Jessica Marie Garcia, Ariana DeBose, Ana de Armas, Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek Pinault, Eva Longoria and Sofia Vergara.
“They are breaking down barriers and changing the narrative in our industry, while pushing the doors🚪 wide open to make space for others to join us 👊🏽,” Alba wrote of the women she named in her post. “On top of it, they’re the best in the game at story telling and captivating the audience with their on-screen (and behind the camera 📽️) performances 🎞️🎥🍿”

“I’m so excited to continue following each of these women and their journeys 😍🥰,” Alba added. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that energetically, you have to stand in your truth and do your best to not allow people to tear you down – especially when you are actually part of the solution toward the greater good. So thank you to these #Latina powerhouses for your hustle and for representing so many 🙏🏽”
Zegler, who made her feature film debut in 2021’s West Side Story, is the youngest of the 10 women Alba named in her Wednesday Instagram post. She most recently appeared in this year’s DC superhero movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods and plays a lead character in the upcoming Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
After that, Zegler is set to lead Disney’s forthcoming live-action Snow White remake. She is also listed as appearing in two more projects listed on IMDb as already in post-production — the animated film Spellbound and A24’s comedy Y2K — as well as the next Paddington movie.
