Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has lifted the lid on his first meeting with Taylor Swift on New Year’s Eve… admitting he was wowed by the popstar despite not previously being a big fan!
Tight end Travis Kelce has been dating one of the world’s most famous women since September, and despite her attending multiple games in 2023, it took until the final day of the year for many of the team to finally meet her.
Among the group on December 31 was the team’s kicker Butker, who has now opened up on the moment he was introduced to the ‘Bad Blood’ songstress.
‘I wouldn’t say I’m a Swiftie,’ Butker began in his interview with EWTN News in Depth. ‘She was just so humble and gracious.’
Incredibly, he went on to reveal that not only did she know lots about him, but gushed over his on-field ability.
‘She thinks that’s amazing that I can kick the ball so far through the uprights,’ he laughed.
‘I was a little nervous to meet Taylor Swift… I mean, it’s Taylor Swift,’ he added. ‘So maybe I am a Swiftie, if I was nervous to meet her.
‘But it was a great experience, and I can’t say enough great things about her… I hope they get married and start a family!’
Swift and Kelce’s whirlwind romance has continued going from strength to strength in the offseason, with the pair currently spending time on the west coast in the popstar’s $25million Beverly Hills mansion.
At the weekend, the pair dined at Bird Streets Club in LA, per Page Six, even surprising a fellow celebrity in Disney CEO Bob Iger.
It has been reported that the multi-millionaire businessman was ‘fawning over’ the couple, when it came to light that the 14-time Grammy winner and three-time Super Bowl champion were dining in the same restaurant.
According to a source at the scene, Iger was dining with his wife, Willow Bay, when Swift and Kelce walked into the celebrity hotspot.
‘Bob jumped up from his seat the minute [Taylor] walked in,’ the source shared.
The private club is known for hosting A-listers such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothee Chalamet, and Bruno Mars.
