Youtuber MrBeast reaps the rewards of posting old content to X

You post something to YouTube and it gets a few clicks. You post it to TikTok or maybe Instagram or Facebook and it takes off. The internet and social media can be tricky sometimes.

Not for MrBeast.

Greenville’s own obviously rules YouTube. There’s no denying that with over 249 million subscribers and 785 videos on his main platform alone. So he has no problem drawing fans there.

He’s even been posting a little extra to Instagram lately, with three new videos you’ll only find there in the past month. One social media site he’s stayed away from posting videos has been X, the former Twitter.

Until recently.

He was asked after posting “I Spent 7 Days in Solitary Confinement” back in December about posting to X. His response? MrBeast replied with a simple “thanks but no thanks,” saying, “My videos cost millions to make and even if they got a billion views on X it wouldn’t fund a fraction of it :/ I’m down though to test stuff once monetization is really cranking!”

That changed on Jan. 15. He posted his video titled “$1 Car vs $100,000,000 Car!!!” on X to test it. The video got over 70 million views in 24 hours.

So why not try it again? In fact, in a post to X on Friday, he sounded very pleased with five videos he posted to X that had success on YouTube. The one that had the least views clocked in at 123 million. The others ranged from 141 million to 177 million.

Not bad for a platform he wasn’t as high on a few months ago.

MrBeast said in an X post, “So far it’s been around a million in ad revenue. I’m just adding it to my video budgets so now I can spend more on content lol”

He said he’ll put the money right back into making more videos, which he’s said many times before. Plus, with his new game show coming to Amazon Prime, it might be put to good use there, too.
