Drake is well on his way to becoming the next Hugh Hefner – if his over the top home is anything to go by.
The 32-year-old rapper and singer has turned his Hidden Hills, California property into his very own Playboy mansion, as DailyMailTV’s aerial shots show.
Drake’s house features its own swim-in grotto and a bar inside the swimming pool. There are also large statues of naked women in and around the water and a waterfall cascading from the hot tub above.
In fact, it was the swimming pool that first attracted Drake to the property – and he’d had his sights set on it for years.
‘I was like, ”What are the world’s craziest residential pools?” and when I searched online, this came up,’ he revealed to Rolling Stone back in 2014. ‘This house was the desktop image on my computer years before I bought it.’
Drake spent $7.7million to buy the six-bedroom, 11-bathroom home from Saddle Ranch owner Larry Pollack.
The musician admitted that it was a steal, because the house was originally put on the market for $27million.
Many of the quirks to the property – such as the statues of women – were there when Drake moved in. And the occupation of the previous owner explains why there’s a bucking bronco sitting in its own pen in the grounds.
Although he doesn’t own horses and therefore has little use for the stables, Drake has several statues of animals littered around the place, including a 60-foot model of a crocodile beside the mechanical bull.
And he kept the full-size beach volleyball court that came with the home, complete with sand.
The pool that Drake had his eye on for so many years appears to be the center of attention when it comes to the star’s home, as the aerial images reveal.
Additionally, there is an 80-foot slide, an outdoor fireplace beside the pool and several plasma televisions.
But the grounds aren’t just for entertaining Drake’s guests.
He also has plenty of space to indulge his active side with a tennis court and basketball court. Drake is known to be a fan of both sports.
Drake christened his property the YOLO (You Only Live Once) estate – after his hit song – and even had a sign outside that he got rid of after it was stolen several times.
And just in case it wasn’t clear that this is the ultimate bachelor pad, the star admitted that when he brings women home, he ‘delights in flipping a switch beside a bookshelf, which swings open to reveal his bedroom’.
But the house isn’t just for Drake to show the world that he’s the second coming of Hugh Hefner.
He’s also turned it into a place that his family and friends can come to visit.
Drake bought the two neighboring properties in 2016 and 2018 respectively for guests to stay in. And despite the fact that his home was put up for sale for $20 million in 2017, the star has no intention of selling it.
It turned out that it was put on the market as a mistake.
