T-Series Vs MrBeast: Music Label Appeals Indians To Unite And Stop American YouTuber From Becoming Number One

The most followed YouTube channel in the world, Indian music company T-Series (Super Cassettes Industries Pvt Ltd) is paranoid again after its infamous rivalry with Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg) between 2018 and 2019. PewDiePie, the former number one since 2013, was challenged by the music label company in February 2017 as the most viewed channel, and by late 2018, the channel’s subscriber count threatened the Swede’s numero uno status as the most sub’d. PewDiePie released a diss track ‘Bitch Lasagna’ amid the escalating rivalry. T-Series eventually surpassed the YouTuber in 2019. Currently, PewDiePie is the second most followed individual on the platform and eighth on the overall top 10 list, with 111 million subscribers. The most followed individual is American YouTuber MrBeast (James Stephen ‘Jimmy’ Donaldson), who is also the second most subscribed with 252 million followers. The T-Series channel has 263 million followers and could soon be dethroned by the philanthropist YouTuber. In its latest video, T-Series has appealed to “fellow Indian Brothers & Sisters” to “Unite and Create History” by subscribing and “be a part of the T-Series Family.” A thinly veiled appeal against Mr. Beast, as perceived by fans and ‘fanemy’ of both channels. MrBeast reacted to the report with a startled eye emoji!

Reactions poured in, with fans suggesting MrBeast drop a track like PewDiePie did. Some asked to “avenge him…you are the only one who can.” “Justice for Lasagna,” remarked another user. Yet another wrote, “Justice for PewDiepie.” Others rallied to spread the word and “get everyone to subscribe to Mr.Beast.”
