“Wonder Woman” Gal Gadot once did everything she could to avoid becoming… Miss

A beauty queen who doesn’t really want to be… a beauty queen

In fact, Gal Gadot does not want to receive any crown, she just wants to have fun, meet and get to know new people, have new experiences, and visit many places. without… losing money, but the beauty has no desire to win the crown.

Even when she “accidentally” became Miss Israel and was sent to compete in Miss Universe, she also tried to create negative points in front of the judges so that she would lose the ability to become Miss Universe. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the 35-year-old beauty revealed that she does not like the title Miss at all.

Therefore, when participating in the Miss Universe 2004 contest, she tried not to become Miss again: “When the judge asked me something, I immediately showed that I could not speak English fluently.” and struggled to know how to answer, then just apologized profusely. I have done everything to make sure I do not receive the Miss crown again.”

Gal Gadot said she never even expected to become Miss Israel: “I told myself that if I participate in this contest, I will be able to go to many places, meet many people, I will have many things to say.” Later, I told my grandchildren that she once participated in a beauty contest and had many interesting things. I never expected that I would become Miss.”

Currently, Gal Gadot has finished filming the next film in the Wonder Woman series – “Wonder Woman 1984”. The film is scheduled to be released on December 25.

“Wonder Woman 1984” – The awaited and expected superhero movie

Sharing about this second film, Gal Gadot said: “I think the first film was about the ‘birth’ of a female superhero, but with the second film, we wanted to have more depth. There will be more dramatic dangers, I think the movie will create more connections and closeness to our lives today.

“I feel like each of us is living too fast these days, we want to have more, more, more… And when we get what we want, we raise the bar again. Higher standards, what is the cost? That is, we lose ourselves in that tiring and crazy race.”

This sharing by Gal Gadot shows that the film story of “Wonder Woman 1984” will certainly have psychological weight and depth.

In this interview, Gal Gadot also revealed the salary she received for the first film – “Wonder Woman” (2017), at that time, she only received 300,000 USD (equivalent to nearly 7 billion VND). , an amount of money that is too small compared to the stature of a blockbuster movie with great revenue at the box office (more than 820 million USD).

But in part 2 – “Wonder Woman 1984”, she received a salary of up to 10 million USD (equivalent to more than 230 billion VND). Thus, Gal Gadot’s salary over the two films has increased… 33 times.

Gal Gadot feels her role as Wonder Woman is very meaningful to women in general and girls in particular: “I believe that people can only dream of something after seeing it with their own eyes.” In my eyes, there are things worth dreaming about.

“Boys are lucky because there are many superhero movies for them to enjoy, and then imagine themselves doing many great and meaningful things. Boys always have strong inspiration and There are great stories when watching superhero movies, but girls do not have that opportunity and the ‘Wonder Woman’ series contributes to changing this situation.”

Playing Wonder Woman also had an impact on Gal Gadot herself and her two young daughters. Gal currently has two daughters – Alma (8 years old) and Maya (3 years old) with her husband – businessman Jaron Varsano.

She said she let her eldest daughter watch the movie “Wonder Woman”: “My daughter was very excited but she still couldn’t separate the fact that mom was… Wonder Woman. I feel very confused and have difficulty understanding why this could be so. I skipped over the scary details, and the rest of the movie made my daughter engrossed in watching it and feeling very proud of her mother.”

Getting a reaction just for… singing a song

Gal Gadot also shared about how she recently received a reaction when she sang the song “Imagine” – a song associated with the voice of legendary male singer John Lennon. She and a number of artists performed this song while in the period of social isolation due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

The online community felt “unconvinced” when Gal Gadot along with some of her Hollywood colleagues sang lines like: “Imagine we no longer care about money. I wonder if you can do that. No more greed, no more hunger. There is only brotherhood between people.”
