There is no doubt that education has the power to change one’s life. However, in today’s world, good education has become increasingly inaccessible, with very few non-profit schools offering free education. One such school is the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, USA. The school was founded in 2007 by teachers Ron Clark and Kim Bearden. In 17 years, the school has taught thousands of kids regardless of their economic background. Ron Clark Academy has a 100 per cent graduation rate, with 90 per cent of its students getting accepted into college or career training. In its latest video, Beast Philanthropy decided to work with Ron Clark Academy and sponsored over 200 teachers from the USA, who learned the innovative teaching methods at the non-profit school.
Telecommunications company Victra and Beast Philanthropy also started a full scholarship at Ron Clark Academy in the name of its former student Ryan Marshall, who lost his life in an attempt to protect his mother during a carjacking. Businessman and educator James W. Keyes also offered a 10,000 dollar scholarship (approximately 8.3 lahks) to 10 people who would buy his book, Education is Freedom and made a video about it. Beast Philanthropy made a video about their work with Ron Clark Academy in a 10-minute video titled: We Schooled Hundreds of Teachers. This video got over 26 lakh likes since it was posted on April 30.
