25 Model 3s and a Cybertruck (or their cash value) will be handed out as part of the popular YouTuber’s giveaway
Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, was born on May 7, 1998, which makes him 26 years old today. In his typical show of excess, he’s celebrating by casually handing out 26 Teslas. Because, you know, nothing says ‘happy birthday’ like playing Oprah with electric cars.
Donaldson announced the giveaway on Instagram (and his other social channels) today, in a video showing himself in a field surrounded by 25 Tesla Model 3s and a single Cybertruck, which is the “grand prize” in this contest.
To enter to win one of Donaldson’s Teslas, you just need to comment on the original Instagram video (below), and tag two of your friends. And that’s pretty much all there is to it, he’s just going to pick 26 winners at random from the eligible entrants.
There are a few conditions you must meet to win this competition, but they’re minor. First, the contest is only open to resident of the following countries: U.S., Australia, Canada, Chile, metropolitan France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. Second, you must be 18 years of age or older (or the legal age of majority) to enter, and Canadians and Mexicans will be required to answer a skill testing question to claim their prize.
Finally, the entry period lasts from today, May 7, until 11:59 ET on Friday, May 10, and Donaldson will announce the winners on May 14. Winners will be required to follow MrBeast’s Instagram account so that it can reach out to them and let them know that they won, and they may be required to sign a release — this is content, after all.
According to the contest guidelines, the giveaway is not being sponsored by Tesla, and winners will be able to pick between receiving the new vehicle and a cash prize of US$39,000 for those who get a Model 3 or US$120,000 for the recipient of the Cybertruck.
