Aussie NBA star Ben Simmons lists his seven-bedroom Los Angeles mansion for sale for $32.5million less than a year after buying it

Australian NBA star Ben Simmons has listed his Hidden Hills mansion for sale less than a year after buying it for $23.3million (US$17.5million).

The 25-year-old, who was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Brooklyn Nets in February, is looking to offload the seven-bedroom home for $32.5million (US$23m), which is $7.7million (US$5.5m) more than he paid for it in June 2021, reports Dirt.

The listing comes after Simmons sold his New Jersey mansion to Nick Castellanos of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team.

Hidden Hills, one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive suburbs, is home to retired basketballer Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union, rappers Drake and Lil Wayne, and of course the Kardashian family.

The Melbourne-born athlete’s home features an ultra-modern design throughout.

The first floor opens out to a minimally designed open-plan kitchen and living area, decked out with top-of-the-range appliances.

There are seven spacious bedrooms, including the master bedroom on the second floor which overlooks the pool, as well as eight bathrooms.

The home is an outdoor entertainer’s dream with a large swimming pool, cabana and landscaped garden.

Simmons’ property also has an impressive guesthouse, a giant fireplace, marble-clad bathroom and its own plunge pool.

The Nets acquired Simmons at the NBA trade deadline on February 10 along with Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two first-round picks, with James Harden and Paul Millsap shipped to the 76ers.

Simmons’ last game was on June 20, 2021, and also his final game in a 76ers uniform, during a post-season loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

Simmons is a three-time All-Star over his four NBA seasons, scoring 15.9 points with 8.1 rebounds and 7.7 assists in 275 career games, all starts with the 76ers. He was the No. 1 overall draft pick by the Sixers out of LSU in 2016.
