Fans’ theories about what Taylor Swift is getting up to her in downtime as preparations get underway for first Liverpool Eras Tour concert: From hiding out at a £3m Cotswolds bolthole to catching up with her A-list celebrity pals

As megastar Taylor Swift prepares for her first Liverpool Eras Tour concert, fans are speculating on how she’s spending her free time in the rainy UK.

The 34-year-old is fresh off the heels of performing in Edinburgh, where at one point she was forced to pause a song because her hands were so cold and one turned into a ‘claw’ from the cramp.

She may have hoped for sunny summer weather, but she has been welcomed to the country with wind, rain and cold temperatures.

So the American singer might be longing to warm up as she bolts up in a £3.3million Cotswolds cottage for the remainder of her tour.

The Sun reported that Swift is rumoured to have booked the rural stay because the countryside is her ‘happy place’.

But the singer is often spotted in London and the Lake District, which have both featured in her lyrics, with fans speculating as to where she may return.

The singer went on to eulogise the nature-filled region in the lyrics of her song ‘The Lakes’, which featured on her 2020 album Folklore.

She wrote: ‘Take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die. I don’t belong, and my beloved, neither do you. Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry. I’m setting off, but not without my muse.’

Swift’s unprecedented successful tour is said to boost the economy by almost £1billion with her 15 shows – yet fans are struggling with Airbnb’s prices on the rise during the dates.

The average cost per night in Edinburgh is roughly £769 per night – but the weekend before it’s £237.88, making it a 223 per cent increase throughout the weekend of her tour dates, as per The Mirror.

Edinburgh proved to skyrocket with prices above any other date, but also the cost of Airbnb in Liverpool went from £99.64 a night to £202.59 for the gigs’ dates, with costs hiking more than double.

The ‘least damage’ is said to be in Cardiff – also her only live show in the city – where Airbnb see a 18 per cent increase from £185.07 to £156.44.
