The martial arts industry is vibrant thanks to information related to stars such as Tyson, Fury, Pacquiao…
Tyson was encouraged to “bite Paul’s ear”.
Mike Tyson, a boxer famous for his controversial actions both inside and outside the ring, recently attracted attention with his statement about possibly biting off the ear of YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul.
Looking back at the shocking moment he bit off Evander Holyfield’s ear in their 1997 rematch, Tyson declared it was the “coolest thing” he ever did.
Despite being eliminated from the match for his actions, Tyson had no regrets, even claiming that people, including celebrities, expressed a strange desire for him to bite their ears.
Scheduled to fight Paul on July 20, Tyson’s fight was postponed due to health issues, but the 57-year-old boxer remains confident and eagerly awaiting the rescheduled fight in November.
Carl Froch, a famous former British boxer, humorously expressed his wish for Tyson to repeat history by biting Paul’s ear, and called this action of Tyson “legendary”.
The dramatic boxing match between Joshua and Dubois will award the championship belt
At the end of September, the Boxing match between two boxers Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois will take place, promising to bring dramatic moments and fierce competition. According to boxing manager Eddie Hearn, the match is scheduled to take place on September 21 at Wembley Stadium, and the winner will receive the IBF heavyweight title.
For this match to become an official title match, Oleksandr Usyk needs to forfeit his match with Dubois. Usyk is currently busy with the Tyson Fury rematch at the end of the year, making facing Dubois difficult.
Hearn believes that Joshua vs. Dubois will be a fight for the IBF heavyweight title, while the other belts (WBA, WBO, WBC) will be retained for the Fury vs. Usyk rematch. Hearn hopes the winners of these two matches will fight each other.
Currently, the IBF has not yet made an official decision regarding the “fate” of this heavyweight belt, but the Joshua vs. Dubois match is predicted to be attractive and expected.
Legendary Pacquiao returns to compete for the championship belt
Filipino world boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has officially announced his return to the ring with the goal of competing for the WBC welterweight title this year. Even though he is 45 years old and has not competed professionally since August 2021, Pacquiao affirmed that he is still fit and determined to conquer the championship belt.
Pacquiao shared in an interview with ESPN: “I made history at the age of 40 when I defeated Keith Thurman and now at the age of 45, I feel like I can still make other historic moments.”
Pacquiao, a former eight-division champion, won his first title in 1998 with the WBC flyweight belt. His last professional match was a loss to Yordenis Ugas in August 2021, losing the WBA (Super) title. In the past 3 years, Pacquiao has only participated in one exhibition match with DK Yoo in December 2022.
To prepare for his return, Pacquiao will have a “warm up” match with Rizin’s featherweight champion, Chihiro Suzuki, on July 28 in Saitama, Japan. The match will be an important rehearsal for Pacquiao aiming for the WBC belt with Mario Barrios at the end of the year in Las Vegas (USA).
Tyson Fury fell drunk on the street
Video of drunk Tyson staggering
“Gangster King” Fury was recently caught drunk and falling on the sidewalk after being led out of the Nowhere bar in Morecambe (UK) by security. The incident occurred just 3 weeks after his first professional loss to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia (May 18).
The video shows Fury, 2m06 tall, being helped out of the bar by two security guards after drinking too much. When leaving the shop, he fell twice, even hitting his head on a light pole. A friend of Fury said that the “Gypsy King” had not drank alcohol for more than 12 months due to his training and competition schedule. Fury only drank a few glasses that day but was drunk.
Fury has been following a strict training regimen to prepare for his fights with Francis Ngannou and Usyk. Despite losing to Usyk, Fury still has a chance to fight again. Currently, it seems he is taking time to relax after the pressure of matches.
