A 𝓈𝒽𝓸𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 incident unfolded on the Jersey Shore this past Fourth of July weekend, as a Canadian woman allegedly slapped a teenager over a dispute involving President Trump-themed attire. The confrontation, which took place on the boardwalk at Point Pleasant Beach, has since led to serious legal repercussions for the woman involved.
Kaitlyn E. Tracey, 33, reportedly recorded herself confronting a group of four girls on July 3, expressing her disapproval of two minors wearing sweatpants emblazoned with “Trump” and “ICE” in patriotic colors. Eyewitness accounts and video surveillance suggest that the situation escalated when Tracey struck one of the girls, resulting in a swift police response.
Authorities moved quickly to identify Tracey, issuing an arrest warrant after reviewing the footage. She was taken into custody on July 10, facing charges that include endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment, and obstruction, according to court documents.

Fortunately, the teenager involved did not sustain any injuries from the alleged altercation. Reports indicate that Tracey had been residing in Asbury Park with her husband after entering the U.S. with a passport in 2024.

Matthew Geroni, who identified himself as Tracey’s husband, shared his distress on TikTok, revealing that his wife had been detained by ICE and taken to Delaney Hall immigration detention center in Newark. Geroni, an American citizen, has been vocal about his wife’s situation, emphasizing his concern for her well-being, even if it means she may be deported back to Canada.

In his public plea, Geroni refrained from mentioning the incident that led to Tracey’s arrest, instead suggesting that the entire situation was being misinterpreted. He also created a GoFundMe page to assist with her legal fees but had to take it down after it faced backlash from a group of Trump supporters on social media.

Describing himself as the “Clown of Asbury Park” and the “Jester of the Jersey Shore,” Geroni often shares humorous content that pokes fun at Republican figures. He claimed that police initially advised Tracey to leave the boardwalk following the incident due to insufficient evidence for an immediate charge, but she later turned herself in once the arrest warrant was issued.
Tracey is set to appear in court on August 4, and as the story continues to unfold, many are left wondering how this dramatic encounter will impact her future. What will happen next in this unusual saga?
