A 𝓈𝒽𝓸𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 incident at the Jersey Shore has led to the arrest of a Canadian woman, who is reportedly in the U.S. illegally, after she allegedly assaulted a teenager wearing pro-Trump attire. The confrontation unfolded over the Fourth of July weekend, igniting a firestorm of controversy.
Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, was taken into custody after allegedly slapping a 16-year-old girl adorned in “patriotic-colored” MAGA sweatpants at Point Pleasant Beach. According to court documents, the incident occurred on July 3, and it has since drawn significant attention due to Tracey’s immigration status.
The Department of Homeland Security revealed that Tracey has overstayed her visa by nearly two years. She entered the United States on April 14, 2024, and her visa expired on September 6 of the same year. Officials claim she failed to leave the country, which has now led to her facing multiple charges, including simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Currently held at Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, Tracey is awaiting immigration proceedings. Her husband, Matthew Geroni, 42, who is an American citizen, has been vocal about her detention on social media. In a TikTok video, he expressed his desire for her release, even if it means returning to Canada.

Geroni has a history of sharing his views online, often criticizing law enforcement and political figures, including former President Trump. The couple has reportedly been residing in Asbury Park, New Jersey, since Tracey’s arrival in the U.S.
As this situation unfolds, many are left wondering how it will impact the couple’s future and what this means for the ongoing discussions around immigration in America.
