NASAAN Opens Up About Strained Relationship with Eminem, Apologises to Cordae

Rapper NASAAN, the son of late D12 member Proof, has recently confessed his complicated feelings towards Eminem and his past behaviour towards fellow rapper Cordae. In a surprising confession, NASAAN revealed that he had been lying in interviews about his relationship with Eminem and explained how jealousy had led him to troll Cordae.

In the social media post, NASAAN admitted that he was envious of the support Cordae received from Eminem, which sparked some negative feelings:

I apologize to the Cordae fellow. I’m growing and realize I started trolling you out of envy. He was getting the love from Marshall that I had always wanted but… unfortunately just never got.

He shared that as a teenager, he dreamed of building a close, almost uncle-like bond with Eminem, but things never worked out that way:

Since a teenager, I kind of just wanted to make Em & his team proud and build this uncle-like bond… and it just never got to that point. I guess that frustrated me and made me jealous.

NASAAN says he is grateful for everything Eminem has done for his family over the years, especially for the support Marshall provided to his family after Proof’s death:

He was my father’s friend, not mine. He took care of my family financially for years! He’s great in my book! I’m 26 now. I accepted I’ll never get the relationship I wanted with him.

In the end, NASAAN offered an apology to Cordae for trolling him out of jealousy, expressing love for both Cordae and Eminem:

The distant love we have for one another is more than enough for me… Love you guys.

This revelation comes as a shift in tone, especially after NASAAN’s recent podcast with Bootleg Kev, where he said he had a closer relationship with Eminem.

It seems like NASAAN is taking a mature step forward, acknowledging his past frustrations and extending an olive branch to Cordae. Hopefully, this opens up a new chapter for him, both personally and professionally, leaving the drama behind.
