Eminem Lands His 11th Billboard No.1 Album with Largest Week in Rap This Year

“The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)” debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200, becoming Eminem’s 11th studio album in a row to do so.

On a short list of artists with ten or more No.1 albums, Eminem now ties his result with Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand and Kanye West. There are four more artists higher on the list: The Beatles (19 No. 1s), Jay-Z (14), Taylor Swift (14), and Drake (13).

To reach No.1, “The Death of Slim Shady” moved 281,000 official units in its first week. It breaks down to 220.08 million on-demand streams and 114,000 pure sales.

With that, just like with a streaming record, Eminem earned the biggest US unit sales week for a rap album on the Billboard 200 in 2024 and the fourth-best result across all genres.

In terms of sales, “The Death Of Slim Shady” marks the second-largest week this year for a digital download album. Its result (114,000 pure sales) is behind only Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department”, which sold 274,000 downloads in its opening week.
